Using subcontractors for Virtual Inspection

Each VI portal account belongs to one company, so a single email address can't be used across two companies. Have your subcontractor create an email variant for each company they work with by adding a +  tag to their email address.

Example: if the subcontractor's email is tom@happysub.com  and they do work for Sunny Solar, they would sign up for Sunny Solar's account as:

tom+sunnysolar+vi@happysub.com

Emails sent to the variant still arrive in their normal inbox (tom@happysub.com ). No new mailbox needed. Gmail, Outlook, and most email providers support this automatically.

This keeps each installer's projects in a separate account, so your subcontractor never sees another company's inspections and you never see theirs.
