Received an Error Message: R661 Module Open Circuit Voltage and Microinverter

Error Message Received:

Typical Causation:

This error is stemming from the module open circuit voltage exceeding the maximum input DC voltage of the microinverter.

An Example:

In this case, the module’s Voc is 65.3V, which exceeds the microinverter’s maximum DC input voltage of 60V. This mismatch will trigger the R661 error, indicating that the selected module and microinverter are not compatible.

Possible Solution:

One way to resolve this error is to use modules with a lower Voc that stay within the microinverter’s maximum DC input voltage. Alternatively, you could select a microinverter model with a higher maximum input voltage to accommodate the current modules.
