Received an Error Message: R352 Rating of meter mounted BID exceeds service rating.

Error message:

• R352: The rating of your meter mounted backup initiation device is less than your service rating, this is not code compliant, please adjust.

Where do I find this information on my plan set?

Typical Causation:

This error typically arises when the meter-mounted Backup Initiation Device (BID) is rated lower than the utility service rating. When this happens this triggers the above error within the application. 

An Example:

If a utility service rating / service disconnect /main breaker on a residence is rated for 225A and a Tesla Backup Switch is being used as a meter mounted Backup Initiation Device. The Tesla Switch backup initiation device (BID) is only rated for 200A. 

Potential Solution:

Verify the correct information was entered into the utility service feed rating question below.  In many cases, the busbar capacity may have been accidentally used.  If the utility service feed / service disconnect /main breaker is really 225A, the project won't be able to proceed through SolarAPP+ as it's above the capacity mentioned on the eligibility checklist.
