What is the CEC List?

The CEC List is a comprehensive database maintained by the California Energy Commission, which contains information about solar equipment that meets the safety, performance, and reliability standards required for installation in California. This includes a wide range of equipment, such as solar modules, inverters, and storage systems, which are crucial components of solar energy systems.

The SolarAPP+ platform will perform automatic weekly updates to pull in the most up-to-date CEC List data every Thursday, ensuring that solar professionals are always working with the latest equipment and compliance information.


What happens if the equipment I want to use is on the CEC list, but isn't selectable within SolarAPP+?

What happens if the equipment I want to use is not on the CEC list?

Unfortunately, a system that uses equipment not listed by the CEC cannot be approved through SolarAPP+. A request may be submitted to the CEC here to have equipment added to the list.
